Erika Bushee, Stone Artist

Erika Bushee is a naturalistic artist based in Fredericksburg, Texas. She incorporates organic elements into her art pieces to striking effect: river rock, slate, gemstones, driftwood, coral, and other artefacts of the natural world are arranged in evocative depictions of dramatic landscapes, abstract formations, and geometric patterns. Some works stand boldly alone as centrepieces, while others lend themselves to diptychs, triptychs, or groupings.

Bushee’s craftings blur the boundary between wall art and sculpture; while made to be mounted, her use of textured objects creates an absorbing, tactile sense of multi-dimensionality.
